The EC Joint Research Centre continues to make its scientific laboratories and facilities open to scientists and researchers from public and private sectors. Open calls are published to access highly versatile research infrastructures including the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory.
With a wide range of facilities and cutting-edge instrumentation, the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory is designed to foster interdisciplinary studies. A special emphasis lies on characterisation of nanomaterials, microplastics, nanomedicines, advanced materials and their interactions with biological systems, as well as on the detection, identification and characterisation of nanomaterials in food and consumer products. The current CALL is open until 07/06/2019 (CEST time).
The JRC has also opened a call to access its research infrastructures for Training and Capacity Building for Enlargement and Integration Countries with the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory as pilot facility. The CALL is open to users from countries associated to the EU Research Programme Horizon 2020. Training is free of charges and travel/subsistence costs are covered by the JRC up to the ceiling set out in the call.
The proposal should be submitted to JRC-RI-TRAINING-CB@ec.europa.eu by the closing date 03/06/2019 (CEST time). For clarifications on scientific and technical feasibility aspects: JRC-OPEN-NANOBIOTECH@ec.europa.eu.
