Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time fixed term position as a Research Associate/Postdoctoral Researcher with the School of Physics at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
This position is funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and is available immediately for one year.
ARDEN is a new research project which will measure indoor air quality, ventilation and thermal comfort in domestic dwellings participating in the SEAI Deep Energy Renovations pilot programme. This project will be led by researchers at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact that retrofitting domestic dwellings to a higher energy efficient standard has on indoor air quality and thermal comfort. The project will investigate changes in air quality and energy use in the dwelling before and after the energy retrofit.

Job Description and Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing field surveys to collect indoor air pollutant, occupant comfort and building ventilation data in domestic dwellings participating in SEAIs Deep energy Retrofit pilot programme.

Salary: €39,132 to €45,157 per annum (public sector pay policy rules pertaining to new entrants will apply).
Start date: Position is available from earliest possible start date.
