ISES Europe’s objective is to establish exposure science education, training and communication in Europe and to anchor it in academic research and education, in order to foster innovation and to create a safe and sustainable future for humans and the environment. The pertinent need for a European Programme to promote increased generation of exposure information and fit-for-purpose exposure assessment tools followed by independent assessments and use by risk managers and policy makers is our main driver for a Europe Regional Chapter in ISES.
Preliminary SWOT analysis and building blocks for exposure science education, training and communication were developed at ISES Europe’s first workshop in Dortmund, Germany in June 2018. The education, training and communication working group goal is to build an exposure science educational framework. As next steps towards this goal, we will take the first set of activities and milestones outlined from the workshop.
