The International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) Annual Meeting Technical Operations Committee (TOC) is seeking proposals for Pre-Conference Courses and Workshops associated with our 2021 Meeting. To encourage engagement and to best accommodate presenters and participants from our global exposure science community, this year virtual courses and workshops will be conducted separately in the weeks leading into the virtual meeting which will be held Monday, August 30th - Thursday, September 2nd.
From 2021, we have adopted the theme 'Multisector Engagement for Addressing Emerging Environmental Exposures'. We would like to incorporate and identify relevant pre-conference courses and workshiops that would be beneficial for colleagues and trainees working in all aspects of exposure science (e.g., research, teaching, policy, communication, outreach). Here are some factors to consider from your proposal;

  • Length can vary from 2 hours to 6 hours (depending on content and engagement level).
  • Full logistical support will be provided, including a virtual platform for the course/workshop.
  • Engagement with the participants is highly encouraged (i.e., no “lecture-only” content).
  • In most cases, participants/attendees will be asked to pay a small fee to attend/participate.
  • Your course/workshop recording will be provided to you, and you can choose how said recording is shared.
  • Courses/workshops will be marketed separately from the virtual meeting - meeting registration will not be a prerequisite for course/workshop registration.

Course Instructor and Organizer Benefits:

  • All course organizers will receive 20% off virtual meeting registration.
  • All course presenters/instructors designated by course organizers, and course organizers, will receive a complimentary registration to another ISES2021 pre-conference course of their choosing.

Please consider sharing your expertise with our exposure science community and submit a proposal for a Pre-Conference Workshop today! The deadline for consideration is Thursday, April 1
