This webinar explores one of the key aspects of non-dietary exposure assessment in Europe – bystander and resident exposure to spray drift, with a specific focus on field crops. Through technical presentations, the webinar will introduce the state-of-the-art methodology and results and highlight CropLife Europe’s contributions to and advancements in spray drift exposure science and their impact on risk assessment methodologies.
Bystander-resident exposure: Advancements in spray drift exposure science and risk assessment. As the theme of the webinar indicates, Occupational and Bystander Exposure Technical Subgroup (OBE TSG) would like to introduce the state-of-the-art methodology and results and highlight CropLife Europe's contributions to and advancements in spray drift exposure science and their impact on risk assessment methodologies. As scientists and risk assessors, we know that our work should have practical application in regulatory exposure and risk assessments which ultimately protect the public - neighbours in farming communities. Webinar will feature topics related to bystander spray drift study setup, insights into analysis of field data, application and further development of existing exposure model. This session will be of interest for anyone working on non-dietary exposure and risk assessments of plant protection products – regulators, consultants, scientists.
