This Domain of Expertise provides an overview of exposure assessment and risk characterisation for biological, chemical, and physical stressors. Participants will explore approaches for evaluating aggregate exposures across multiple sources and routes, as well as cumulative assessment strategies that address the combined effects of multiple stressors. The session introduces qualitative and quantitative risk characterisation methods and discusses the selection and use of appropriate threshold limit values, supporting robust interpretation of exposure information and transparent risk assessment.
