This Domain of Expertise provides a foundational introduction to the statistical and epidemiological methods that support exposure assessment and interpretation. Participants will explore core statistical concepts for analysing exposure data, including data summarisation, handling measurements below detection limits, selection of exposure values, and management of uncertainty. The session also introduces key epidemiological principles and illustrates how epidemiology complements exposure science by linking exposure data with health outcomes, supporting risk evaluation, causal inference, and evidence-based decision-making.
